Lindsay Sharp is a Notary Public based in Kent. She was appointed a Notary in December 2009 and provides a full range of Notary Public services to both private and corporate clients authenticating documents to be used world-wide. She is a member of the Notaries Society, Law Society of England and Wales and Kent Law Society and regulated by The Faculty Office of the Archbishop Of Canterbury.
Having graduated from Cardiff University as a medical biochemist before converting to law, Lindsay qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and worked for long-established Kent based firms where she built an excellent reputation, forming close working relationships with many established names throughout the South East.
As a Commercial Property Solicitor she gained experience in a wide variety of property related work from sales and purchases to creating new leases, refinancing and advising and resolving title issues. She was fortunate enough to be involved in some very exciting projects which have changed the skyline and entertainment scene in Canterbury, acting for long established educational institutions, charities, companies and individuals alike.
Lindsay also acted in the sale and purchase of high-end residential transactions including stately homes, listed buildings and houses comprising equestrian facilities, extensive grounds and woodlands.
In January 2010 Lindsay was appointed as one of only some 750 Notaries Public in England and Wales providing a full range of notary services authenticating documents to be used world-wide. In October 2019 she became a full time Notary, fortunate timing as it would happen, as the demand for Notarial work grew rapidly as a result of the Pandemic and travel restrictions.
In May 2021 she was awarded a Covid Hero Award for her dedication, commitment and hard work ensuring clients all over the county and beyond received assistance throughout the pandemic. Often working 12+ hour days, 7 days a week and in sub-zero temperatures to ensure international legal matters would not be delayed, she also assisted local law firms with emergency will signings, the pharmaceutical industry with medical trials/drug licensing (some related to Covid Vaccines), shipping, export and import and two overseas child abduction cases.
Lindsay has an expanding portfolio of clients which include individuals, local companies, charities, PLCs and a FTSE 100 company. She enjoys the fact that Notarial work is hugely varied and can cover everything from selling property in Spain, marriages in the Caribbean, Global Drug licencing for major pharmaceutical companies to acting as an official witness in Guinness Book of Record trials.
